Sunset Junction 2011- we hardly got to know you! Well, we did get to know about your insanely inept effort to get the show to go on, only to be denied twice by city officials. Last year’s Sunset Junction was a decent party, but we felt the lineup this year was a little weak. Are we sad to see the festival come to this in 2011- absolutely. But wait, we can help you save your Sunset Junction plans! If you flew out here from far away lands or if you live two blocks from the junction, we have a survival guide for you with rescheduled shows. We got to give props to LA Weekly who has the full list available. There are some good shows out there now, in much more intimate venues across the city. We’ve highlighted our favorites, with a few sentences to describe why you should be there.

Art Brut Afterparty @ The Grand Star (with Club Underground and Hang the DJs), 10 p.m.
Butch Walker, The Fling, Useless Keys, Milo Greene, Vanaprasta, Chasing Kings, more TBD @ Dangerbird Records, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. – We are down for any party at Dangerbirds Records, throw in Butch Walker and this one almost makes us happy the festival was canceled.
