Later this month the El Rey Theatre will become the Church of Rock & Roll when Cincinnati rockers Foxy Shazam will bring their over-the-top theatrics to the classic Los Angeles venue. More than just a rock concert, Foxy Shazam shows are a spectacle. Frontman Eric Sean Nally draws no shortage of iconic comparisons (Prince, Freddie Mercury, Justin Hawkins), which are well deserved, and then add a full cast of band members that play leading roles in their must-see live shows.
Foxy Shazam have recently released their fifth album GONZO in the most fan-friendly way possible- a free download. This is the band’s first independent release since the 2005 debut album Flamingo Trigger. GONZO was self-produced and recorded with engineer Steve Albini.
