Wavves will be performing in Los Angeles and San Francisco this October in support of one of our favorite albums this year, Afraid Of Heights. They’re bringing the Jazuzzui Boys and King Tuff on tour with them for this run. The band played Lollapalooza and Outside Lands this year showing that their popularity is reaching beyond the shores of California. They’ve even expanded to a four piece band- the days of catching Wavves at Townhouse in Venice for a messy three piece set might be over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t check them out in Silverlake still.
The band even made an appearance on Conan last night- ya, they do stuff like that now. A new track from the upcoming video game Grant Theft Auto V was premiered live. Apparently the band has their own radio station in the game, curated by Nathan Williams and Stephen Pope. Wavves and Grand Theft Auto… it fits!
