Tomahawk are returning slowly to the world of live performances. They’ve sprinkled in some festival dates over the past year, and have a few west cost dates listed for February, 2013. Los Angeles, we get one, San Francisco, we get two! Tomahawk, the experimental rock band fronted by Mike Patton, will be descending on the Great American Music Hall in SF and the Mayan Theater in LA next February. Tickets are on sale now!
It’s always an interesting journey if Mike Patton is steering the vessel. Tomahawk is making their reformation an interesting trek as well. Their fourth studio album Oddfellows was slated for a Fall 2012 release on Ipecac Records, but that has been pushed back to January 29, 2013. Looks like the album will drop before any new live shows. The band has been playing the single “Oddfellows” in recent live performances, and we are sure to get quite a few new songs during the February dates. There is a Santa Ana date floating around there too if that interests you. Get your tickets below, and check out a teaser from Ipecac Records for the new album. Oh ya, did I mention that their album Anonymous was the best LP of 2007- go get it now.
