The Icarus Line’s fifth studio album Slave Vows has been out for a few weeks now. We’ll have a review up here soon, but if you’re a fan of The Icarus Line then you know the live experience is where it’s really at. You’ll get your chance to hear Slave Vows in its entirety on August 2nd at The Roxy. The album release show should be all the post-hardcore your heart can desire. Joining The Icarus Line will be Retox. Tickets are available now. If you are in LA that weekend, you can’t miss this show.
You can get all the good info you need from the Facebook page for the event. The Icarus Line is one of our favorite hard rock bands that calls LA home. Frontman Joe Cardamone plays guitar on the new record for the first time in the band’s history. The album was recorded at Cardamone’s studio in Burbank. We expect some awesome videos to come from the album like the ones we got from the band’s last release Wildlife. We love this quote from Cardamone when asked about Slave Vows and the rock n’ roll scene today:
Rock’n’roll has been turned into this, like, Mötley Crüe charade, a parade of fucking dicks. It’s the 80s again. It’s crazy how everything I love has been driven back into the underground. That’s where we came from, and that’s where we’ve ended up, and anything else good is back down there too.
So if you want to get in with the underground, we’ll see you at The Roxy on August 2nd.
