The Darkness return to Los Angeles with a clever nod to the Beatles, naming their recent tour Back to the USSA 2016. The epic British rockers will have their face melting guitar licks and glass shattering falsetto on display April 12 at The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Best known for their post-glam rock anthems “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and “One Way Ticket to Hell…and Back,” the foursome have been consistently pumping out hit rock songs for years. The albums are only a piece of the Darkness lore however, because their live shows are where their cosmic rock magic really takes flight. It is a feast of rock and roll, and we are gluttons. The band may describe it best: “A Darkness show is a place where believers come together, where fluids are shared, and dreams are built. But most importantly, rock and roll is crowned king EVERY NIGHT!”

In case you needed more examples of their tongue in cheek trademark attitude, we’ll leave you with this statement from the band: “The Darkness is proud to return once again to America. We are here to confirm our reputation as the mightiest live band treading the boards in this saccharine age of music made by computers, millionaires and halfwits. Sometimes by all three! …America – we give you the BACK TO THE USSA tour 2016, visiting as many glorious US rock citadels as possible before we return to our secret mountain-top castle to begin creating the next astonishing Darkness record.”
Their 4th and most recent studio album, Last of Our Kind, was released on June 2, 2015, on the band’s own label Canary Dwarf Records via Kobalt Label Services.
