Who said nothing in life is free? You can catch a whole mess of great musicians and acts in San Francisco without paying a cent this weekend at the Hardly Simply Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park. Bands and more info after the jump.
Hardly Simply Bluegrass Festival 11 kicked off yesterday. The entire event is free and takes place across four stages in the park. MC Hammer and Poor Man’s Whiskey headlined yesterday. The gratis goodness continues with performances today by Bright Eyes, Chris Isaak, and Robert Plant & the Band of Joy amongst many others.
Broken Social Scene, Emmylou Harris, Fitz and the Tantrums, Kris Kristofferson & Merle Haggard, Gomez, and The Blind Boys of Alabama will also appear on stage throughout the weekend.
