Finish up the Halloween party weekend with a show that combines your favorite bands named after the facial bones of prehistoric dinosaurs. Red Fang and Black Tusk are teaming up for a club tour around the United States with stops in LA and San Francisco. This is a heavy rock show that is worth way more than the measly $15 they are asking. Ticket info and a few songs for your listening pleasure after the jump.
The Portland, Oregon based Red Fang will be headlining the tour around the United States. They take over Slim’s in San Francisco on the 27th, and The Troubadour on the 28th. It’s good to see Slim’s get this show, as many bands are hitting The Independent these days as their Bay Area show. The Independent is an awesome venue, but Slim’s is much more suited for the heavy metal bands. There’s something grungy about walking around the SoMa area and catching a show at Slim’s that just can’t be beat for these type of shows. Take a listen to Red Fang’s latest single “Crows In Swine” here:
Black Tusk haven’t released an album since 2011’s Set The Dial, but they’ve been thinking about a new release for 2013 and catching them live is always the preferred way to experience the trio’s brand of “swamp metal” straight from Savannah, Georgia. Listen to “Red Eyes, Black Skies” from Taste The Sin:
Tickets are $15 a piece for both shows, and at that price, you will be getting a heavy dose of metal and hard rock to keep you intoxicated for quite a while.
