You were probably going to be hungover on Thanksgiving day anyways, but this is a whole new level to that idea. Leave it to the duo of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten to make you a complete mess in front of your family, because you’ll be lucky to leave the Palladium in Hollywood before 3 AM on Wednesday night. New World Punx, the DJ duo consisting of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten, are finally coming to Los Angeles to tear up the decks for what’s become one of the world’s best dance music scenes- Los Angeles. It seems like we have been waiting for ever for this day, and that day just happens to be Thanksgiving-eve.
Insomniac is taking over the Hollywood Palladium for this one. If our memory serves us correctly, this will be the first time Markus brings his deep trance tracks to the classic Hollywood venue. The duo might use a cartoon logo to represent them, but trust us when we say that their sets together are heavy and fast. The duo got their name by combining Markus Schulz’s hit, “The New World”, and Ferry Corsten’s classic anthem, “Punk”. While that’s all good with us, the New World Punx track “Romper” is making a case to be a classic in the scene one day. We can’t wait for more tracks from the two, and with a big holiday set planned in Los Angeles at the Palladium, it’s seemingly the perfect place to debut something new.
Markus is fresh off of releasing the new video for his single “Remember This” and Ferry just release his track “Many Ways” featuring Jenny Wahlström. It’s hard to say that the two trance legends are better together because we love what they bring as solo artists so much. Still though, there’s no doubt that in a world where DJs are teaming up more and more, New World Punx is one of the best things to happen to dance music in 2013.
