Remember when your high school had that big party or dance with that at the time semi-famous band? You probably forgot the name of that band or artist by now, and the night was either forgettable because you drank too much or because it was that uneventful. On December 5th, 1970 the students at Farmington High School in Michigan had one of those bands in their quaint gym to put on a performance. That band was Iggy and The Stooges. Here are the pictures to prove it. We’ve only included a few pictures here, because the original site posting these deserves the hits for em’. Go check out Vintage Everyday’s Iggy and The Stooges Farmington High School gallery for all of them. Wow, what a find these are! The pictures show Iggy Pop only a few months before he ended up meeting David Bowie and collaborating with the artist. That meeting would lead to a string of events that would eventually come together to create 1973’s iconic album Raw Power. Moments in time like this Michigan high school performance are usually stored in the minds and oral histories of those who were there to experience it, but these photos give the event a new and everlasting life.
