It feels like summer in California and Rabbits Black is kicking off the best season on this side of the coast with a show that brings together two of our favorite rock n’ roll bands. Zodiac Death Valley and The Sister Ruby Band get together on June 15th for our welcome to summer party in Santa Monica. What better way to get into the groove than a Westside show a few blocks from the beach. The show is free to attend, and your spot in the music room at O’Briens is reserved with an RSVP. The sounds of Zodiac Death Valley and The Sister Ruby Band kickstart summer on June 15th at O’Briens in Santa Monica.
The Sister Ruby Band played an amazing set at our yearly benefit experience in January with 8mm. A broken guitar string was the only thing that could slow down the band. We’ve been itching to bring them back to the Westside since January, and the music room at O’Brien’s was the perfect place to bring back their reverberating blend of rock n’ roll.
Zodiac Death Valley was holed up in Los Angeles this spring working on the follow up to their debut album. They were in the studio with Joe Cardamone from the Icarus Line for quite some time, but headed back to San Francisco to finish up the album. Well, we are bringing them right back down to LA! Check out some tunes from ZDV including one of our favorite tracks “Hail Hail December”:
This show is FREE to attend. We love throwing parties on the Westside, so bring anyone you can gather up to see two amazing bands in a room with a 100 person capacity. All those who RSVP are guaranteed admission. Tunes will be provided late night by Rabbits Black for a midnight rock n’ roll dance party. We will be at the beach all day, but we’ll see you at the show on Saturday night!
