Rabbits Black is proud to announce our latest concert event to be held on January 26th at the Dakota Lounge in Santa Monica. We’ve brought together two of LA’s most respected bands for a special performance on the Westside. 8MM, featuring Juliette and Gary Beavan, will be headlining a unique evening performance with The Sister Ruby Band also performing. This show is limited to the first 150 fans, and entry is free with RSVP. Proceeds from this event will benefit PATH (People Assisting The Homeless). Don’t miss this unique concert experience from 8MM, The Sister Ruby Band and Rabbits Black. UPDATE: We just added Standing Shadows to the bill! They’ll be your late night dance party DJs.
Our first show of 2013 represents all that is right in the world of rock n’ roll today. 8MM is the band that refuses to compromise. They have the talent, name, and connections to be a chart-topping act, but the husband and wife duo of Gary and Juliette would never compromise their sound for billboard success. Their music is the purest form of their expression, and they rather have it that way than any other. The Sister Ruby Band have been showered with the types of comparisons that bands dream of. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Jesus and Mary Chain? Fitting and appropriate, but not defining. The Sister Ruby Band is a brutally honest exploration into a new generation of psychedelic rock dreamers.
Tickets to the show are FREE with RSVP by e-mailing Tickets@RabbitsBlack.com. The guestlist is limited to the first 150 fans to keep the intimate concert experience intact. Donations are kindly accepted at the door to benefit PATH (People Assisting The Homeless).
Homelessness is a significant problem in our world, and even more so in densely populated areas like Los Angeles and Santa Monica. We all want to help, but its difficult to know exactly how to make a positive difference. PATH is the way, and it starts with giving those less fortunate a home. All proceeds from the event will go directly to putting a homeless family in Los Angeles into a home to rebuild their lives and health.
This concert event will feature giveaways from local sponsors, DJs, and of course two amazing bands. A portion of bar sales will also benefit PATH. We’ll have previews on the bands later this week, but for now, send in your RSVP with your full name and the names of your guests to confirm your spot at a unique concert experience that will change lives forever.
