PINE CITY TRAIL – Joshua Tree, California
Pick up a MAP at the front gate upon driving into Joshua Tree National Park. You’ll be heading to Pine City Trail. To get there you will need to traverse a few dirt roads and a couple of forks later you’ll arrive at your trail. Follow the map, you’ll need it. Park your ride and start your hike. You got 1.1 miles of trail in front of you. Once the trail ends, you’ll know you found the right place. After dipping in and out of a few valleys in which appears to be a baron wasteland you will eventually reach your destination- a massive colony of boulders and pine trees lays in front of you. There you’ll see the tent that holds the treasure.
The last clue we’ll give you is how to get to your starting point by whichever means you can steal, borrow, use.
Take the 10 freeway to the 62 and head North passing through Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley and the town of Joshua Tree. You will see signs that say Joshua Tree National Park. Turn right on Park Avenue- there is a sign and stoplight here. Follow the road for 6 miles to the entrance gate. Pay the entrance fee and continue driving for about ten miles until you see the sign for Barker Dam. Turn left and follow this road until you almost reach the parking lot. On your right will be a dirt road- this is Queen Valley Road, this is what you want to follow. You will come to a fork, take the left path. Follow it to the parking area and the last restroom on your quest.
