REFUGE FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS & THE BEST FEST
The Best Fest was born out of three music industry friends sheer love of music, and wanting to share that love with their peers. It’s organically evolved into the premiere rock and roll celebration, raising money to provide healing and assistance for our friends and neighbors in the music community and beyond.
Refuge Foundation for the Arts is a non-profit organization committed to providing a sanctuary for the pursuit of creative expression. Founded in response to the lack of resources available to artists today, their mission is to offer patronage and support to artists in a supportive and collaborative environment. Refuge Foundation for the Arts is based in Appleton, Wisconsin and is centered around a former Capuchin-Franciscan monastery and spiritual retreat center, located on 10 beautiful acres along the Fox River. The 33,000+ square foot facility currently includes over 50 bedrooms, artist studios, mobile recording studios, a woodworking and metalworking shop, fruit orchards, gardens, and a chapel which now doubles as a full recording studio. Refuge Foundation for the Arts seeks to build integrated environments which value creative, cultural exchange through supportive explorations in art, education and environmental stewardship.
Pettyfest is also generously sponsored by Jameson who has been a cornerstone of support for this wonderful creativity inspiring cause.
