We’ve had this week circled on our calendars in red, white, & blue and it’s finally here: This week we get to celebrate the 4th of July, a USA World Cup match, and of course the announcement of the Groove Cruise LA Lineup! Today we get our first look at the lineup for the 3-day floating dance music festival that has taken LA by storm … without any actual “storm” because of course its LA and the weather is fantastic. Take a look and let us know what you think!
GCLA looks like it will get wild from the moment the anchors are up with two of the top DJs from last year’s GCLA playing the “Represent” theme party Thursday night. The first name that jumps out to us is Morgan Page, who put on one of the most talked about shows of the summer headlining the Ensenada warehouse party at last year’s GCLA and will now be headlining the Bon Voyage party onboard the ship the first night. However, the voyage will really kick off just before Page when the high energy English party DJs the EC Twins take the stage, and possibly take over the ship.

“The music is everywhere you go on the ship, there’s always music somewhere. The parties are going off!”
Other notable GCLA Artists include: Funkagenda, Michael Woods, Sidney Sampson, Sydney Blu, Erick Morillo, Will Sparks, Deniz Koyu, Sex Panther, Scotty Boy, and Project 46. Check out the full list below.
Also, there has been a fun change in the schedule announced today as the Catalina day party will now be a night party from 6pm-10pm, with two separate pool parties that afternoon onboard the ship. This means taking sunset voyages to the mainland and partying into the night on the sand.

This year’s GCLA experience will also differ from last year’s west coast maiden voyage because Whet Travel significantly UPGRADED the ship itself, here is a little info on the new lady:
The Golden Princess, a new ship for this year’s monumental 10 year anniversary voyage, holds over 3000 people and boasts 738 cabins with private balconies, 1,318 total. With 4 pools, 9 Jacuzzis, 17 decks and 8 different venues, this 5-star vessel is a significant upgrade from the ships used in previous voyages. Dine at one of the three main dining rooms, Sabatini’s – Italian restaurant, Crown Grill – Steak and seafood (voted one of the “Best Cruise Ship Steakhouses” by USA Today), International Café, Vines – Wine Bar, Horizon Court – Buffet restaurant, Trident Grill – Burger & hot dog grill, Prego Pizzeria – Poolside pizza, Sundaes ice cream bar, Ultimate Balcony Dining or enjoy 24-hour room services. It gets better; captains can also head over to the Lotus Spa, the nine-hole putting course or the state-of-the-art gym.
