The Groove Cruise LA officially disembarks on Friday at 4 PM from the port of Long Beach, but the party really get’s started on Wednesday. If 72 hours of non-stop music with 2,000 party people and over 40 DJs wasn’t enough, don’t worry, there’s plenty more where that came from. The official Groove Cruise pre-parties start tonight and won’t end until early in the morning on Friday. Proceeds from these events will benefit the WHET Foundation– a charity organization benefiting youth in Miami, the Bahamas and Mexico.
It’s easy to get in. Show up at the door and make a donation ($10-20 suggested). That’s it! If you are coming from out of town then we highly suggest checking these events out. If you are local, you know the names and places and what to do.
The Groove Cruise pre-parties give you a taste of all that Los Angeles has to offer. Tonight things get going at Sharkeez in Hermosa. An iconic laid-back bar along the pier and beach in the South Bay. Festivities will be run on the decks by a trio of Los Angeles based artists headlined by Scotty Boy. On Thursday the WHET Foundation takes over the W in Hollywood- a chic modern hotel right on Hollywood Boulevard. The venue is usually taken over by the long-standing Drai’s brand, but the Groove Cruise gets their time on Thursday during the day. Then it’s the Emerson Theatre for Funkagenda and one of our favorites Jochen Miller. A true club night before you get on the water on Friday.
Show up, party, and make a donation to do a good thing. You can start your Groove Cruise LA experience tonight!
