For the past nine years, Miami has played host to the Groove Cruise- the largest fully chartered dance music festival on water. Throughout that run, the Groove Cruise has embarked on 19 unique experiences and has even tempted the waters of the Pacific Ocean with smaller excursions from San Diego and Los Angeles. But this September 27th-30th, the Groove Cruise comes to Los Angeles with bigger aspirations, a bigger lineup, and the biggest cruise liner they’ve ever had set sail from California. Groove Cruise LA 2013 will be the first fully chartered excursion from this side of the country and it packs a lineup of some of EDM’s biggest stars. With stops in Catalina and Mexico, the Groove Cruise is the most unique dance music experience on the West Coast this year- and we haven’t even gotten to the lineup yet! September 27th is fast approaching and we have all the Groove Cruise coverage you need right here.
The Groove Cruise has made five previous trips from LA, but none have been anything quite like this. Three days on the water, fifty Electronic Dance Music artists, and a limited experience to the first 2,500 party people who want to get on board. The Groove Cruise isn’t your 100,000 person festival with stages miles apart in a huge open park. It’s one of those “you have to do this at least once in your life” events that puts you on a vacation next to the very artists who are performing. Using the word “festival” to describe it just doesn’t feel right- this is an experience. So who exactly can you rub elbows with on the Groove Cruise LA starting on after they step down from the decks? Rabbits Black favorite Markus Schulz performs on Friday, with fellow headliners Chuckie on Saturday and Fedde Le Grand on Sunday. The music lasts all day and all night with over fifty DJs and artists playing multiple venues on board that include theme parties, pool parties, beach parties, and fashion shows. Basically take the noun “party” and throw whatever awesome adjective you want in front of it. Oh ya, you are also doing this aboard a luxury cruise ship that happens to have it’s own water park amongst its many amenities! The cruise and the ship are an integral part of the entertainment experience on the Groove Cruise.
The music festival on water idea has been picking up followers over the past few years. More companies and promoters are jumping on board, but no one has been doing it longer in the United States than the Groove Cruise. The Groove Cruise is also the ONLY one to offer a Los Angeles voyage. We’re expecting a ton of locals, but also jet setters from across the globe who want to spend a ridiculously fun and entertaining week in California. We’ll be previewing the whole festival, including artist interviews and special features leading up to September 27th. Everything you need for the Groove Cruise will be here at Rabbits Black. You can find more information right now on The Groove Cruise official website. Check out the promo video and lineup below.
Now before you book your trip, we have something special for you. Rabbits Black readers get $50 off their booking, but there’s more. If you party, you also give back. With our partners Whet Travel, we’ll be donating $50 for every cabin booked to PATH (People Assisting The Homeless). You go on the Groove Cruise and homeless families find a home. It’s a win-win for all of us! Follow the link here to book and use the code: rabbitsblack
