It’s here! The first song from the upcoming Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes solo album Honkey Kong. Fans were wondering what Jesse’s solo project would sound like outside of Eagles of Death Metal, and we finally have the first part of that answer. Here’s a clue, it’s all about having fun! Check out “Boots Electric Theme” after the jump.
Boots Electric is here, and get ready for some serious dancing action on September 20th when his first solo album Honkey Kong is released by Dangerbird Records. The album was produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode) and co-written by keyboardist Money Mark who most famously worked with the Beastie Boys. Ya, I know we got awhile until we can get our hands on the full creation, but for now you can sway your hips with this Hollywood summer dance anthem. “Boots Electric Theme” gets some love from Brody Dalle as well, as she is featured heavily on the track. Boots Electric + Brody Dalle is an awesome recipe we want to hear. Visit Boots Electric’s new website for a free download of the song and to have a few good laughs. Check out the track and tell us what you think. Seriously, did you expect anything less from Boots?
