The girls from Deap Vally, who exploded onto the festival scene this summer, grabbed our full attention with opening sets for the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Arctic Monkeys, and Queens of the Stone Age. Considering they hadn’t released an album yet, they must be doing something right. I say “hadn’t” because yesterday they released their debut album Sistrionix in the U.S. via Cherrytree/Communion/Interscope/Island. Today, to help celebrate, Lindsay Troy and Julie Edwards (together: Deap Vally) released the video for their new single “Walk of Shame” which is about reclaiming the (never shameful in our opinion) morning walk in last night’s clothes. And isn’t it stranger to bring a change of clothes anyways? Watch the video below and check out the entire album, it’s great dirty/bluesy/sexy rock n’ roll back in LA.
“The track is about a very important concept to us… the ‘Walk of Shame’.” Says Troy about the band’s new single. “We teamed up with one of our oldest and closest friends, Tyler Shields, to make this video and can’t wait for you to see it.”
