Dada Life are one of the most entertaining live performers in dance music today. The Swedish duo of Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom are marketing geniuses along with being great DJs. We are sure they have a great team behind them as well, but from what we can tell a whole lot about Dada Life comes from their crazy minds. They are known in the scene as the DJs who throw out bananas during live shows and hand out “smile masks” to the fans as they walk in to the venue. Their hit singles include “Rolling Stone T-Shirt”, “Happy Violence” and “Kick Out the Epic Motherfucker”. They are playing in Los Angeles this July… from a hot air balloon. These guys know how to have fun and at the same time have released some of the most original tunes in dance music over the past six years. You would think that guys like this are just out to ride the wave of EDM popularity, but they are actually quite fan and industry conscious. So when Saturday Night Live released their now viral skit making fun of EDM culture this past weekend, we were pleasantly surprised to see Dada Life join the conversation. Apparently coming back from a drunken night at the bar, the duo took to Facebook for an impromptu chat with fans to vent about everything they like or dislike about EDM music. It’s a Reddit-style conversation that actually offers some great insight into the scene and industry from the most fun artists in dance music. Check it out below and follow Dada Life on Facebook to continue the conversation. They even came back for a second round of conversations with fans yesterday.
