The Arctic Monkeys have released the music video for “Black Treacle” off their album Suck It And See. The video was filmed in both Sheffield and Los Angeles and directed by Focus Creeps (Aaron Brown and Ben Chappell, who also directed the Monekys in the video for “Suck It And See”). “Black Treacle,” the latest single off Suck It And See, is set to release on Monday January 23 and will be available on 7″ and Mp3 digital download. Check out the video after the jump!
Focus Creeps describe the desert themed video featuring drummer Matt Helders as a knife wielding convict on the run: “It’s a prequel where laws get broke, and a sequel where hearts get broke. On the one hand, the song kind of says, no matter how low things go, you can always dream, and on the other hand it’s a video that kind of shows – kids, don’t try this at home.”
The single will be backed with the exclusive track ‘You And I’ by Richard Hawley and The Death Ramps, which was recorded and produced by Ross Orton in Sheffield.
