UK’s Above & Beyond have released the next installment of their acoustic experiment with a new video for their classic breakup hit “Sun & Moon” which will be featured on the album “Above & Beyond Acoustic,” which is due out on January 28th on Anjunabeats/Ultra Music. The groundbreaking group has re-imagined what it means to be an EDM artist. While at the pinnacle of their genre they have stepped down from the DJ podium to transform their music with the highly emotional and beautifully imprecise vibrations of a 15-piece band and orchestra.
The video is taken from their forthcoming “Above & Beyond Acoustic” concert film, which will premiere on Friday, January 24th on Vice’s THUMP channel. Above & Beyond’s acoustic sets are performed by Tony McGuiness (on acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, mandolin, and ukulele), Paavo Siljamaki (handling piano, cello, and vibraphone) and Jono Grant (handling Rhodes piano, guitar and vibraphone).
Above & Beyond’s recent acoustic performance in front of a sold-out crowd at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last October was one of the most critically acclaimed and widely discussed shows of the year.
