It’s getting real awesome in Queens of the Stone Age land. We are less than one month from the release of their new album Like Clockwork… and it’s scheduled June 4th release. Rabbits Black’s most anticipated album of 2013 lands right on time to kick off a summer that will be soaked in rock n’ roll. Queens of the Stone Age have released another song from the album today in video from. “I Appear Missing” is the second song to be leaked by the band- following “My God Is The Sun” last month. Central SAPC is hosting Mini Mansions, which is the side project from Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman, and RB can get you in for free! Mini Mansions were formed while QOTSA took a break following their 2009 tour for Era Vulgaris. Nestled in a coastal nook about 30 miles South of San Jose CA there exists a small beach, ice cream, and surfboard community with creative eateries and a proper downtown. Santa Cruz CA also happens to host a hip little joint called the Catalyst Club on Pacific Avenue, right in the middle of that befitting downtown proximity. I am thoroughly surprised that this venue with a capacity of around 800 is still standing after Queens Of The Stone Age tore the roof off of it last night. (more…)

Since the Fox Theater in Oakland CA reopened its remodeled front doors back in January of 2009 with a Social Distortion headlining show, there has been an array of incredibly awesome performances each and every concert season- Queens of the Stone Age, on this night in April, might have been the best concert at the Fox in Oakland yet.
