Krauss made a special appearance late Monday night on SiriusXMU to announce the duo’s latest release, Bitter Rivals, which will hit record shelves and digital download streams October 8. The anticipation is tangible, but you can satiate the hunger by checking out the title track to the album below.

Sleigh Bells directed the video themselves and produced it in conjunction with the Creators Project, a collaboration between VICE and Intel that highlights artists who use technology to push the boundaries of creative expression. The song itself is iconic Sleigh Bells: soft guitar which gives way to reveal the duo’s signature indie noise sound, peppered with stark breaks for Krauss’ party anthem chanting. The pounding rhythm breaks slightly to reveal Krauss’ sing-song interludes.

“Bitter Rivals” captures the style fans have come to love from Sleigh Bells. The album will feature  ten songs and is produeced by Derek Miller and mixed by Andrew Dawson. If the title track is any indication, if you like Sleigh Bells, you’ll love Bitter Rivals. You can pre-order Bitter Rivals on the newly-launched site.

To support their new release, the band will take on North American this fall with Doldrums, and will play Treasure Island Music Festival, just after playing two dates in Southern California.
