Miami Horror is back with their much anticipated follow up to their 2010 breakout debut album Illuminations and they will be bringing in Summer right at home at The Roxy TheaterJune 5.
The L.A. based electronic quartet originally from Australia fuses together pop, funk, and electronic music which has helped them draw comparisons to their greatest influences such as INXS, Talking Heads and Tame Impala.
In 2010, they burst on to the scene with their single “Sometimes” which was featured on the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto V. The band has spent the past three years traveling back and forth from Melbourne and Los Angeles creating their new album, All Possible Futures. The new album has received great fan fare and even better reviews.
“(All Possible Futures) grabs listeners by the scruff of their necks and tosses them into the deep end of an infinity pool in some far-flung paradise. This is some seriously polished, funk-up-the-floor songwriting.” – Spin
“If your summertime to-do list consists of BBQs, pool parties, dancing, hot days, wild nights, kissing, or all of the above, then you need to make Miami Horror your soundtrack.” – Nylon
“All Possible Futures conjures a world of palm trees, Malibu breezes, and a stubborn sunniness.” – Rolling Stone
The Show is June 5 at The Roxy Theatre. De Lux and Dirty Radio will open. Doors open at 8pm. Show begins at 9pm. Tickets are $20.
