Live Review: Soul Rebels @ The Mint 3/29

Guest Review by Marisa Brown

Dear Soul Rebels~

We love you so much. You kicked off the best weekend of our lives in New Orleans last Halloween on Magazine Street at Le Bon Temps, and melted our hearts right away.  You let us girls on stage and we like to think that you serenaded us with “California Girls” (we know you didn’t…but it made us feel special anyways).  After that night, we ended the best weekend ever with you at the Blue Nile…and it was perfect.  Once again, you let us dance on stage with you, remember?  No?  That’s okay- it was still magical for us.

And then last night you blew our minds again at the Mint!  You guys brought us your sweet, soulful sounds from New Orleans and it transported us back to the city that we love SO much (We’d now like to take this opportunity to apologize for all those “special” people that were at The Mint with us last night.  Not all people in LA are that bad at dancing…we just all love to get down! Except for me, I’m on crutches)  We love all your music, but you managed to tug on our little heart strings when you played LMFAO’s “Party Rock” last night along with a cover of Metallica’s “Sandman”.

Thank you so much for another memorable night with the Soul Rebels!  We love you so much and can’t wait to see you back in your home town.
