Who wants to eat a human sized gummy skull on the lawn of one of California’s most famous cemeteries while listening to the Flaming Lips and drinking wine or beer out of a cooler?  If you said “No” to any part of that, then these shows are probably not for you.  If you said “Yes”, well then buy your tickets now before this awesome opportunity and live shows sell out!  That’s right, your favorite psychedelic noise-pop band The Flaming Lips are coming to LA in June.  They will be playing two shows, June 14th and 15th.The venue will be the fantastic Hollywood Forever.  The Bon Iver show there last year has become a show of Los Angeles-lore, but if you were not there or haven’t been to Hollywood Forever this is a great way to experience it.  The “venue” is literally in the historic cemetery.  Ya, how cool is that!  And of course, not to be too normal, The Flaming Lips are offering fans the chance to buy limited edition Gummy Skulls for the show.  What do you get, you ask?  Well a human sized skull made up of juicy gummy material you can eat!  In the center is a gummy brain with a USB stick containing some pretty rad Flaming Lips live material for your ears.  I know, this all sounds like a joke, but of course it’s not!  Don’t believe me?  Buy your tickets now for one of these two shows.  We’ll be at The Soft Bulletin night with blankets, cooler and party supplies in hand!
