Why Velvet Revolver will reunite; it’s all relative

When quotes from Scott Weiland’s recent interview this week started hitting the internet, it made for the perfect storm in the world of Velvet Revolver.  Just the week before, VR’s drummer Matt Sorum told the world that he, Slash and Duff had recorded an album’s worth of material with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor.  While Matt thought it suited the Velvet Revolver moniker, Slash did not feel the same way and they decided not to release the album.  Two different interviews, hinting at one obvious conclusion- Velvet Revolver is coming back with Scott Weiland, the only way it could ever have. Festival Preview: Outside Lands Music Festival @ Golden Gate Park SF 8/12-8/14

Here we go folks, the 4th annual Outside Lands Art, Food, and Music Festival is fully booked, prepped, greened, and ready to launch into outer space next weekend from historic Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It will feature 3 full days (Fri-Sun) of live musical performances from a wide array of genres and generations beginning at 12 noon each of the 3 days and ending late into the night. Expected to pull in 40-50,000 people from all over the world, the concert bill has a few tricks for every taste, 4 performance stages, a DJ dome, a Wine Lands booth that will feature great locally produced California wines, plenty of food represented by local eateries, and a whole shit-ton of other exhibits, games, booths, and party for everybody to get down with! A look back at Alain Johannes’ unforgettable Day Party performance

When you get good people together, for a good cause for the right reasons, you can make a positive impact on this world.  That is something we believe in at Rabbits Black, and with our good friends at Vestal and a moving performance from Alain Johannes, together we were able to make a positive impact on the music community.  The support we showed on that day raised money to help Brian O’Connor from the Eagles of Death Metal in his fight against cancer.  Follow the jump to view the complete photo album from the event and a final reflection on a special day.
